Counseling Service
In 2007, ARC Community Support Systems discovered a need for Counseling Services in Effingham County.  Hundreds of people sat on waiting lists for credible counseling sessions, sometimes for months before even getting in the door.  So, always being community minded, ARC Community Support Systems hired four experienced and dedicated staff to offer this important community resource.
 
Located at the Nanon Wood Center, the ARC Community Support Systems Counseling Services now offers counseling to individuals, couples, families and groups.  Services include treatment for Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Eating Disorders, Grief, and Parent/Child Concerns.  Specialty services include Children First Services and Divorce Mediation.
 
With over 65 years of combined experience, the four Clinicians stand ready to help you through these difficult times with respect, dignity and confidentiality:
 
Judy Latta PhotoJudy Latta, LCPC - Judy brings many years of experience in the mental health field.  While she worked as a therapist, she also has been involved in administrative supervision as a clinical director.  Judy treats individuals of numerous ages, with a special interest in couples counseling and special training in grief and trauma issues.




 
Pat Swartzbaugh Photo
Pat Swartzbaugh, MSW, LCSW - Pat began working in the Substance Abuse field before moving into mental health therapy where she now employs a number of therapy modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.  Pat currently sits on the Alumni Board for the School of Social Work at the University of Illinois.





 
Michelle Schultz PhotoMichelle Schultz, LCPC - Michelle has amassed several years of experience as a therapist at mental health centers.  She specializes in women’s issues and marital therapy.
 





Kendra Davis, MSW, LCSW - Kendra specializes in child and adolescent therapy and can help with many family issues and problems.  She also offers Children First education for parents experiencing a divorce.
 






The ARC Community Support Systems Counseling Services knows that, from time to time, everyone faces some problems; everyone, at some point in their life, can feel a little lost and alone.  But, we can help you work through these issues and no one has to be alone in their struggle.  These clinicians are dedicated to helping you overcome the personal, social and emotional hurdles standing in your way, giving you the means to solve the issues that face you.
 
Counseling services are supported by Managed Care, PPO Insurance Plans, Employee Assistance Programs and Indemnity Health Insurances.
