Barb Lingafelter is a Developmental Therapist for the Birth to Three Program through the Opportunity Center in Olney, IL.
Barb has a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Eastern Illinois University. She holds an Illinois State Teacher Certificate in both disciplines. Barb is also credentialed through the State of Illinois to provide Early Intervention services. Barb has previously had experience in the preschool classroom, as well as elementary classrooms.
Barb has worked at the Opportunity Center since August 1999, first with the All Babies Can Program and now with the Birth to Three Program providing Developmental Therapy to children with developmental delays or disabilities.
Barb has been married to her husband, Troy, since 1986. They have two children, Garrett and Lindsey. Barb is a firm believer in family. She believes that parents are their children’s first teachers. Barb enjoys her work and is gratified to see the progress children make with thoughtful intervention during those important early years.
