Kim came to work at ARC-CSS in April 1987 as an Assistant at the Developmental Training Center. Her responsibilities included supervising consumers, overseeing contract work, doing time studies, identifying consumers’ needs, following Individual Rehabilitation Plans, maintaining appropriate documentation and records and providing direct care. After many successful years of employment Kim proved herself as a leader and in 2004 was promoted to Production Supervisor in the Shelter Employment program.

Kim’s new responsibilities are running a safe and efficient workshop, providing direct supervision and training to consumers, care and maintenance of production equipment, establishment of work layouts, methods, procedures, schedules and quality control for all contract work. Kim also works closely with the Director of Employment Services on price quotations, prevailing wages and piece rate work. Kim works hard to instill a valuable work ethic into each consumer entrusted to her care by running a tip-top program.

Kim also serves on the Fun Fest Committee and in 2006 was recognized as ARC-CSS’ Employee of the Year.

Kim graduated from Effingham High School and the Dale Carnegie Course. In 2009 she enrolled in Lake Land College to further her education.

In her spare time Kim serves as a board member for the Effingham Jr. Football League and does “On-Call” for Sexual Assault and Family Emergencies (S.A.F.E.). Kim enjoys taking a walk with friends, anything to do with football, spending time with family and life’s little adventures. Kim has two sons, Zach and Jacob and lives in Effingham with her dog Noogie and cat Taz.
