Kristi Crawford began working at ARC Community Support Systems in September of 2009. She is the Director of the ABC Children’s Program and is also a Parent Educator. The ABC Children’s Program serves families in Crawford, Jasper, Lawrence and Richland Counties with children ages 0-3, or parents who are expecting a child. The Program provides activities for children and parents designed to encourage development, increase positive interaction and promote the exploration of a child’s world.
Kristi received a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree majoring in Speech Communication, with a minor in Public Relations from Eastern Illinois University in 1990. She went on to earn a Master’s of Science in Education degree, from the EIU School of Educational Psychology in 1993, majoring in Guidance and Counseling. She is also trained and certified as a supervisor and a parent educator through the Parents As Teachers National Center, Inc. Her past work experience includes working 16 years for Illinois Eastern Community Colleges where she worked full-time in the Community Services field and also taught transfer-level courses to education majors.
Kristi resides in rural Olney with her husband Tony, and their two daughters, Kacie and Courtney.
